GEMPC Awards 2025 College Scholarships, Reaches Milestone of 24 Scholars

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (July 6, 2024) – The GMA 7 Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GEMPC) has awarded its 2025 College Scholarship Grant to three deserving students, marking a significant milestone as the cooperative has now granted scholarships to a total of 24 college scholars since the program's inception in 2013.

This year's recipients are Louis Andrei L. Nanip, son of Rogelio Nanip of the Engineering Group; Bernadeth G. Bactat, daughter of Edward Bactat of the Engineering Group; and Jinelle Niña L. Olarte, daughter of Jim Olarte of the Engineering Group.

The scholarship, amounting to P50,000.00 per semester or P400,000.00 for the entire course, will cover the recipients' tuition fees, miscellaneous fees, allowances for books, uniforms, and a monthly stipend.

The selection process began with 27 applicants who were nominated by their member-parent or member-sibling. This pool was then narrowed down to seven shortlisted candidates who proceeded to a panel interview. Following a rigorous evaluation, the final three scholars were chosen.

The scholarship awarding ceremony, held on July 3, 2024, at the Events Place in the GEMPC Building, was attended by the scholars and their parents, as well as the GEMPC Board of Directors, Officers, and employees.

GEMPC's College Scholarship Program is a testament to the cooperative's commitment to supporting the education of its members' children and fostering the next generation of leaders and professionals. The program has been instrumental in providing financial assistance to deserving students and enabling them to pursue their dreams of higher education.
